Dear Standard Fours,
No longer are you all little kids; you all have grown up to be a capable and independent squad. A squad that serves the corps with pride and ardour. A squad that Dunman High St. John Brigade is really proud of.
No journey is ever smooth sailing.
Sure enough, there were conflicts, obstacles, and moments of despair. But at the end of the journey, the people who experienced the past four years with you, are the people you would hold close for the rest of your life.
Nobody said it would be easy.
Blood, sweat, tears. You all never gave up and strove to be the best you can ever be. The ceaseless encouragement and assurance you all gave your squadmates also gave each other the strength to progress towards greater heights.
Friendships.
Be it juniors, squadmates, or seniors, the friendships you have forged with them are possibly the most valuable. Their presence alone is strong enough to make you feel at ease, secure, and happy. You know they will always be there for you. You know they are someone you can rely on without fail.
18072015. This day marked the closure of a chapter in your life story, while another begins to unfold itself. We hope that these four years have had an influence on who you all are today, and the memories you have created with your juniors, squadmates will be etched onto all your hearts and minds until the very last chapter.
Here's wishing you guys a happy POP!
On a side note, a huge thank you to the Standard Threes for planning a wonderful last event for the Standard Fours. Thank you for letting the Standard Fours feel appreciated, loved, and happy. Thank you for creating the special day where the Standard Fours truly shone like stars.
